Lovely Lunch and Washed Up Wood

Hi there! I'm way behind on reading blogs and blogging myself. What on earth do I do all day that makes me get so far behind? Well, I sleep a lot, but sometimes I do actually get out of the house! For example, on Wednesday Pinky and Grumpy took me out to lunch.

There were meant to be four of us but Maggie couldn't come, unfortunately. She lives in Portugal so we will have to wait until she comes over again.

We had lunch in a pub restaurant near to where Grumpy lives. The food was delicious. I forgot to photograph it! I had rump steak with a Jack Daniels sauce. Actually, if I'd only thought about it, I should have videoed it because it arrived on a metal platter and was literally sizzling and still cooking; awesome!

Grumpy had a massive burger and Pinky had chicken carbonara.

After that we went down to see the wood that was washed up on the beach a week or so ago. It's amazing, it goes all along the coast from Southampton to Hastings or something. A long way anyhoo. We stopped near another favourite haunt, Carats, and took pictures. The public are forbidden from taking any of this wood (surely that must contravene maritime law? Dunno) and quite a lot of it has already been cleared by the authorities, but as you can see, there is still a lot left! In defiance Grumpy took a piece for his brother, who is building a new garden shed. I think he might need quite a bit more wood than the piece Grumpy took, ha ha!

After that we went to Carats and had a cup of tea (each, that is, not one between us, haha!).

Hope evfurrybody is having a great Sunday:)

BTW, there will be more about Grumpy in a future posting. He is a very talented bloke!

I am amazed at the wood that washed up. It would seem to be common sense to allow the public to pick it up. It would be cleaned up in twenty-four hours and the public wouldn't have to pay the expense of the clean-up. Who can understand government anyhow? Common sense seems to have nothing to do with it.

Whoa - you've got quite an exciting life! We're WAY far behind on blogging and reading blogs too, but it's cause the Lady's been busy. When's she gonna realize that us blogging should be the priority?

Go ahead and use the card if you want to. I had the Lady buy it at Rite-Aid for me to give to the Blonde Girl. I wish I could say that I made it myself, but no. Apparently somebody who knows me really well must have made it.

Purrs!

You have been having some adventures! I don't get much time to blog either, because Lynettea is often busy with the computer and won't let me on it.

That steak sounds delicious. That is a huge amount of wood that washed up. Did a lumber ship go down or something? It seems odd that people aren't allowed to carry it off, unless it has to be returned to whoever lost it.
