Home Alone!

Even as we speak, Pinky is about to depart for Gatport Airwick to fly off and spend Chrissy Mouse with his frennids in Portugal. These are the same frennids he went to stay with in the summer. I thought I had some photos to show you where he'll be, but he must have just brought them over on his "dongle" to show me and not downloaded them to my pooter. It's a lovely place anyway, so hopefully photos will be winging their way through the ether before long!

This will be the first Christmas I've spent alone since my darling Mum died in 2004. I don't mind, I'm a bit of a recluse anyway, and so was Mum, but we always kept in touch by phone, telling each other what we were watching on telly, our culinary disasters (both of us great cooks - not!) and whatever else sprang to mind.

I'm invited to my half-sister's in Canada but I can't do all the travelling stuff, since I can barely do the stairs or walk down to the corner shop without being afraid of falling over (have several times on stairs!)

With the internet bringing us all so close, are we ever really alone?

Doesn't sound self pitying at all. In fact, it sort of sounded to me like you don't really feel like you have any problem alone. I think when we are alone (and have often been) we don't feel that way--certainly with the internet now we don't at all!

Tell the Truth and let it stand.

With a big cat blogosphere family we are never left alone Chey is so right.
Even with Chrissymouse coming and everyone being so busy there is always the support and silent love of everyone of the CB family - close your eyes and you can feel it!

WE do not have chrissymouse anymore.. It's just not that big of a deal.. the day goes fast and you have less of feeling ill from eating too much the next day anyways :)

Being alone is not so bad. Gives you time to reflect and cherish memories from the past. I'm sure you'll have a great Christmas and enjoy the holidays. I gave you a couple of awards that you can pick up any time. Purrs and hugs from all of us here :)

You have the blogosphere to keep you company, if you get lonely. Are you on Twitter? If not, join and we can all have chats :O) It's fun.

We will be home on Christmas and probably on the computer for part of the day. I will stop by! Or as Babs suggested, sign up for Twitter! There was some fun Twittering going on Thanksgiving day (and I told some very bad Thanksgiving jokes).

I wish you all the best, alone or otherwise, during this holiday season!

We are never truly alone, as your many commenters demonstrate.

Then I think this is the perfect time to stock up on cats! Two should work quite nicely, and of course I would highly recommend at least one black boy!

What a happy Christmas for all!

Our maid always spends X-mas alone. But then - she doesn't celebrate it either. And of course she has us too.... We can come over to your place and purr at X-mas!
And thank you so much for coming to Ruis birthday party! It wouldn't have been the same without you!

Hi again! In answer to your question - my name was originally Whicky (short for whiskers as mine are so thick and startling) and the Wuudler was originally Woodles, but when my first Mum was taming me (I was a real feral) I responded best to low UUUU sounds, so Woodles, became Wuudler! Thanks for asking, ta ta for now

Whicky Wuuuuuuuuuudler

No, no - the butler doesn't desert us! He is the maid's neighbor, and we have both houses, and neither one of our staff actually celebrates X-mas, they treat it as any other day. They are just not "Holiday" people. But it does seem as if WE still get an extra treat in the form of special food, HAHAHAHAHHHAHHA
