Everyone is unhappy with the system they have. Systems can always be improved. However we have people dying because they can't get coverage nor can they afford coverage. They can get to the emergency room to die and die only. We must have some change and we will fight for that with everything we have. A public option isn't enough but it's a start. We need single payer.
I know Canadians--we live close to the border and like Mickey's family they like their coverage. As we said, most of the people complaining would always like something better. But they get good care, prompt care for emergency services, and they are not going bankrupt to get care.
I have been one of those who could not get healthcare, except for what I could trade for with alternative care providers. I simply couldn't pay more than my house payment for insurance and I lived in a cheap house. Unfortunately I also needed to eat.
The US has a broken system and the only people it helps are those in the insurance industry lining their pockets.
Obviously I didn't get the memo about this "no cats on the Internet" thing or I would totally have done a Trouble post today ...
I think we cats taught them a very good lesson!
We so knew that "NO CATS DAY" would never fly!
